US citizens – Demand the right to know what’s in your food

Think your food labels are complete and honest, even if you can’t pronounce 3/4 of the ingredients?  Think again.  GMOs (genetically modified organisms) developed by Monsanto and proven to cause cancer and other DNA alterations are not required by the FDA to be labeled.

This video does a great job to illustrate the point.  Just don’t let the issue drop there.  After going here to tell Pres. Obama to cut all ties between the FDA and Monsanto, take another moment to write your representatives from the bottom up.  Let them know that not only are you fed up with Monsanto contaminating and controlling our food supply, but that as a human being you have a right to know what is in your food.  It is about time the US caught up with the rest of the world on this matter.

Lastly, do not forget to share your concerns with local grocery stores, family, and facebook friends and tweeters.

President Obama makes colleges rethink tuition hikes

I have long ranted about how colleges abuse their monopolization on education by forcing unnecessary tuition hikes year after year.  It had come to the point that I actually touted them as holding our lives for ransom under degrees that are often overestimated in worth and exaggerated in need.

This may seem completely contradictory to my love for learning and ascertainment that “Knowledge is power,” but it simply is not.  One can easily teach themselves how to do virtually anything in our media millennium.  Unless it’s surgery or piloting a plane, & yeah ok, I’ll concede a few other ambitions, most specialties can be honed at home.

While society is a long way from bowing to my point of view, degrees are nearly a prerequisite – although not a reassurance of – employment for now and the future.  Given this, I have already informed my children that 1) yes, you’ll go to college, but 2) there’s no way your father & I can afford it.  At least they have no misconceptions ahead of time and realize that effort, diligence, and scholarship (probably multiples, in fact) will be expected.

However, President Obama did just step up for a startling reality check to the higher education industry:  control your tuition or lose federal funding.  It parallels quite *nicely* with doctors and hospitals overcharging in 1 form or another simply because they know Medicaid/Medicare will cover the cost.  Of course they have to be extra sly, so they will push or exaggerate certain diagnoses like mental illness, diabetes, and heart disease into receiving treatments that have actually been proven to make the problem (or others) worse.

President Obama also addressed the abuse of inflated interest rates on student loans.  I never would have thought when I was in high school that any bank or lender could possibly legally take advantage of someone via student loans.  Thank God I never made it an option for myself, because stories abound of people going bankrupt — yes, bankrupt — for having done so.

Taxes, child support, and student loans are the 3 types of debt that cannot be wiped off your credit report for non-payment.  So naturally when you put this fact together with federal funding, subsidized tuition via grants like the Pell Grant, a workforce that no longer trusts itself to train its workers (read — too cheap to train their own workers), & tuition rates set by the very people paid the highest within an institution of higher learning, then of course abuse would be rampant.

Netflix offers an excellent revealing documentary “Frontline:  College, Inc.” discussing this very matter.  A well-versed viewer gives it 3 out of 5 stars & then comments:

A narrow expose that does not address the broader problem and its root causes. The factors driving the growing demand for advanced degrees – of any kind, from any university – deserve scrutiny. What was once a cost-benefit decision is now a foregone conclusion: You must get a college degree. Like all bubbles, the college bubble has been pumped to excess by societal and market failures. Among these: the societal failure that for many, a public high school education is often inadequate or irrelevant; and the market failure created that distortions in the market for a college education – principally, tax-payer funding – has produced an artificial demand for it and facilitated its costly supply. (In an environment where super-loose monetary policy already encourages malinvestments in education, fiscal distortions are the last thing you need.) This documentary could have focused on the common problems affecting the entire advanced education complex, but instead simply focused on the failings of the latest entrant, the for-profit sector. It could also have cited studies that show that much of the performance gap among sectors is due to differences in demographics. To be fair, this narrow expose still allows an open-minded viewer to see a broader problem and diagnose a common cause. He or she would have been able to (a) compare and equate problems afflicting students and institutions in the private sector system with analogous problems in the public systems, and (b) conclude that misplaced State-involvement appears to be a growing common factor in both systems. Yet, the documentary does not attempt to broaden the discussion or to explore common causes. Worst, in an attempt to speculate about a solution to the problem of private sector colleges, the documentary appears to suggest…even more taxpayer funding funding for Community Colleges. Is this what being educated without learning is about? Humh. Watch instead CATOs online panel Profit from Ivory Towers of 11/30/10.

Obama to High-Priced Universities: ‘You’re on Notice’

Call NC reps NOW – voting to turn holistic health providers into FELONS

Urgent:  This matter will be open for debate again in 20 minutes!  Scroll down to find out how to contact NC reps NOW — even if you don’t live in NC.

Update:  NC House has closed business today & will reconvene tomorrow 4/7/11 at 1:15pm.  Emphasis on – it is not too late to act now.

The 1st business of the day on my priority plate was to track the progress of this freedom stifling piece of legislation:  SB 31 titled to “Clarify Penalties for Unauthorized Practice of Medicine.”   Let’s quickly get down to business so that you too, can spread the word — FAST.

We all know how bills, acts, campaign slogans, and government agencies often title themselves in a confusing manner – almost as if it were meant to intentionally mislead.  So, let’s start there.

1)  NC refuses to license alternative health care practitioners.  Since bill SB 31 also applies to out-of-state licensed holistic healers, then that also means they cannot perform their specialty within the state of NC without suffering the same penalties.

2)  What’s the penalty?  FELON.   Yes, they actually seek to increase the penalty from a misdemeanor (which is still a violation of civil rights and natural law) to FELONY status.  That means:  no more voting rights, forget applying for a job (if you can find one outside of allopathic drug based healthcare, military, banking to begin with in this state), total disqualification for ANY government employment from park maintenance to secretarial, postal, or education…I think you understand the gravity of this criminal status.

3)  Even though Asheville, NC is 1 of the most popular and renowned cities in our entire continent, as well as the most progressive towards green, eco-friendly, organic lifestyle and health modalities – therefore provides plenty of proof of efficiency and safety in their own geographical corner of the state – SB 31 still has not been shutdown entirely.

4)  Holistic medicine encompasses a wide range of specialties from nutrition, herbs, acupuncture, to energy work like chakra therapy or reflexology, and includes Chinese Medicine practitioners.  Every single faction of alternative health is nothing new, experimental, or drug dependent.  On the contrary…it in fact is based on natural law (quite simply:  how natural substances relate to each other), and comes from a vast world of knowledge that has been known since the beginning of time, tried and tested throughout the ages by Asian and Native American cultures, yet may just be coming to light in your neck of the woods thanks to the Internet allowing us to share and store infinite amounts of this knowledge.

What has been happening in the medicine field in our country is akin to the strangling cultural breakdown of Native Americans once they were 1st forced from their homes and then later beaten for even speaking their native language or practicing their own traditions as children were seized from their families and forced into government boarding schools.  Within 1 generation, eons of knowledge collected over the course of their history nearly disappeared entirely.  Even basic things like what was good to eat or how to connect spiritually to our Great Creator and each other as well nearly vanished from their mindset.

NC is leading the country on none other than a witch hunt.  At a time when other states are recognizing the now scientifically proven benefits of natural medicine, they are regressing back into the Stone Age pockets of corporate greed.  They are afterall, 1 of the leading states in modern medicinal research containing 3 prominent med schools.

Which brings me to this little known fact about med schools.  Only 8 out of 128 med schools in the entire nation even offer nutrition.  Granted, there is more to alternative medicine than just nutrition, but the proper knowledge of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, fats, proteins, and carbohydrates is the very basis of life, health, and thus by extension – medicine.

Here is a personal example from my own life of how atrocious SB 31 is and the detrimental effects of passing it could have:

My husband broke both the ulna and radius of his left arm.  He went to an orthopedist who had practiced in NC for years.  Every 4-6 weeks for 8 months, he visited this orthopedist (bone specialist), receiving x-rays each time that sadly confirmed there was NO sign of healing or bone fusing whatsoever.  I began worrying that he was indeed diabetic.

During this 8 months of orthopedic visits, he had to turn down 2 different high paying job offers as an electrician because they saw him as an immediate liability.  (He had been laid off >1yr when the break occurred.)

Having seen my chiropractor (the man was phenomenal) and learning that he bases his treatments on getting to the core of problems through nutrition v.s. relying on prescribing pain pills or muscle relaxers, I gained immense respect for him.  When I realized he was also an acupuncturist, I began thinking maybe he could help my husband.

The acupuncture consultation was free.  Let me repeat:  FREE.  He viewed x-rays taken 2 weeks prior and immediately asked J, “Do you drink sodas?”  Again, my mind starts thinking, “Oh no, diabetes!”  My husband replied, “Maybe 1 or 2  20 ounce bottles a day is all.”  Our alternative healthcare provider’s instant response:  STOP NOW.

I told him, “Sure, no problem, but you have my curiosity picked, so could you please explain why?”   The answer:  Phosphates keep your body from using calcium, so even if you take supplements, the calcium remains free floating in your bloodstream and isn’t able to be used to rebuild bone.  Sodas are full of phosphates due to phosphoric acid as an ingredient.

Guess what?  My husband quit cold turkey and FOUR WEEKS later was 98% healed.  We were never charged a dime for that visit, yet we owe the incompetent orthopedist for 2 surgeries, 8 months worth of visits, and an additional $2500 for an useless machine that he promised would cost only $800-$1000 and would be returnable.  The machine – even though for external use only – is non-returnable.

Back to business though:  Time to GET ON THE HORN and let NC state representatives know that what they are doing steps on your freedom, blackmails your life by holding your wallet and mortgage for ransom, and creates criminals out of truly good Samaritans who in fact do know what they are talking about and who also seek to empower the “patient” – not create a dependency on any system, much less any chemical artificial substance proven to ruin health and destroy lives.

Think I’m going overboard by saying the modern Western medicine practices hold your life or mortgage at ransom?  How about considering we are THE ONLY developed nation in the world where foreclosures are soaring in large part due to unpaid medical costs.

You do not have to live in NC to get your voice heard or to state the case supporting alternative healthcare.  Please call now.  Then, email.

part 2: Law Enforcement Terrorist ID Training

Part 2  –  view part 1 here

There are several things that we, the patriotic, self-sufficient defenders of liberty can do to counter this effort.

First, get involved in local elections.  Elect county sheriffs who will not fall for such propaganda nor go along with oppressive federal agendas.  Elect city council members who will not tolerate such behavior by their city police department.  Elect state representatives who will hold state agencies accountable for participating in such tactics.  Bring these issues up during elections, demand a public statement on their position on such propaganda and a promise to stand against these efforts while in office.

Second, get to know your local law enforcement officers.  It is much more difficult for DHS to brainwash officers against people they personally know.  When you are known as a neighbor or friend, these officers are far less likely to submit your name to a terrorist watch list or view you as a potential terrorist.  Local officers should be personally offended when they hear members of their community slandered in such ways.

Third, always be friendly and courteous when speaking to your local officers.  Even if that officer has fallen for this propaganda, be sure not to resemble the negative stereotypes labeled to us.  After the fifth, sixth or maybe tenth time he deals with one of us, he or she may come to realize we are no threat to law enforcement or anyone for that matter.

Eventually, the officer may attend one of these training sessions, hear the propaganda and say to himself, “This isn’t true, I’ve dealt with many people like this, they are God-fearing, liberty loving Americans, they are not the enemy!”

I hope you find this information useful.  Please remember that there are many people in law enforcement that have not, and will never, fall for DHS propaganda.  Some of the most patriotic defenders of liberty and believers in self-sufficiency can be found in law enforcement.  Many officers like me [the original author] will continue to do our part to fight tyranny from within while the general public can do its part by electing liberty-minded candidates to office and educating their friends and neighbors about issues important to all of us.

Law Enforcement Terrorist ID Training

The following information was sent to me from a friend and details the training being provided by DHS [Dept. of Homeland Security] to local law enforcement that focuses on the dominant model of complete social control. Officers are routinely instructed how to recognize “extremists” and “domestic terrorist.” Read the descriptons below and see if it sounds like anyone you know.

                                            *    *    *    *    *    *

I’ve been in law enforcement for the past 18 years.  I have attended a variety of training over those years.  During the 1990s, most training I attended was community-oriented, sponsored by local agencies or private companies specializing in police training.  Themes common to training of the past included topics such as constitutional rights, community partnerships, youth-oriented programs, and problem-oriented policing.

During the past several years, I have witnessed a dramatic shift in the focus of law enforcement training.  Law enforcement courses have moved away from a local community focus to a federally dominated model of complete social control.  Most training I have attended over the past two years have been sponsored by Department of Homeland Security (DHS), namely the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

No matter what topic the training session concerns, every DHS sponsored course I have attended over the past few years never fails to branch off into warnings about potential domestic terrorists in the community.  While this may sound like a valid officer and community safety issue, you may be disturbed to learn how our federal government describes a typical domestic terrorist.

These federal trainers describe the dangers of “extremists” and “militia groups” roaming the community and hiding in plain sight, ready to attack.  Officers are instructed how to recognize these domestic terrorists by their behavior, views, and common characteristics.  State data bases are kept to track suspected domestic terrorists, and officers are instructed on reporting procedures to state and federal agencies.  The state I work in, like many others, have what is known as a “fusion center” that compiles a watch list of suspicious people.

So how does a person qualify as a potential domestic terrorist?  Based on the training I have attended, here are characteristics that qualify:

Expressions of libertarian philosophies (statements, bumper stickers)

Second Amendment-oriented views (NRA or gun club membership, holding aCCW permit)

Survivalist literature (fictional books such as “Patriots” and “One Second After”are mentioned by name)

Self-sufficiency (stockpiling food, ammo, hand tools, medical supplies)

Fear of economic collapse (buying gold and barter items)

Religious views concerning the book of Revelation (apocalypse, anti-Christ)

Expressed fears of Big Brother or big government

Homeschooling

Declarations of Constitutional rights and civil liberties

Belief in a New World Order conspiracy

A recent training session I attended encouraged law enforcement agencies to work with business owners to alert police when customers appear to be stockpiling items.  An example was given that a federal agent was monitoring customers at a well known hunting and fishing retail outlet and noting who was purchasing certain items.  This is something to remember the next time you purchase a case of ammo at one of these popular outdoor sports retail stores.

Methods of developing evidence of terrorist activity from virtually any search have also been discussed.  Various common materials which may be associated with homemade explosives are listed:  lengths of pipe, gunpowder, matches, flammable liquids and fireworks.  Officers are told when these items are found, they can be listed as “bomb making materials.”  The training even goes so far as to instruct officers that the items are cleverly disguised as legitimate, such as gasoline stored near a lawn mower, pipes stored in a shop building, or gunpowder stored with reloading materials.

One course I attended used the example of a person employed as a plumber being the target of a search warrant.  In this example, the officers were told how to use his employment as a plumber as further evidence of terrorism.  The suspect’s employment would be described as an elaborate scheme to justify possessing pipes and chemicals so as to have bomb making materials readily available.  Based on this example, all plumbers are potential pipe bomb makers.  All gun dealers are plotting to provide arms to gangs or terrorists.  All pest control companies are preparing mass poisonings.

By using this logic, simply having the ability to do something criminal automatically makes the person guilty of plotting the crime.  With all the various methods of manufacturing methamphetamine, it would also be easy to claim that a disassembled clandestine drug lab was located during the search.  In other words, it is easy to frame anyone for possessing bomb making materials (or other crimes) if the officer knows what items to list in the report and how to link these items to terrorism.

Another common tactic used in DHS sponsored training is the slander of certain ideologies by linking an erroneous characteristic to a particular group.  Here are some examples:

These groups might:

hold the anniversaries of certain dates as significant such a Ruby Ridge, Waco, and so by diluted comparison – Hitler’s birthday;

oppose abortion, support gun rights and therefore must be [sarcasm]affiliated with the Ku Klux Klan;

fearful of big government, espouse support for the Constitution, and so would then ‘want to kill police officers’ [their paranoid ideology, not ours].

OR maybe they collect firearms, survivalist books, and explosives – which of course, would be anything flammable.  [No cook-out tonight, hon’!]

Perhaps these citizens labeled as extremists and falsely assumed terrorists read books such as Patriots, One Second After, and The Anarchist Cookbook.

These targeted groups also include religious zealots, read the book of Revelation, speak of the second coming of Christ, and so thus must be planning mass murders to summon the end of the world. [again, not an accusation, but their justification]

These people grow their own food, raise livestock, and would only do so to plot attacks on commercial food production facilities.  [Yes, really.  This is what they are training us to think.]

Do you see how this tactic works?  List common characteristics of libertarian/conservative minded people, then throw in a slanderous accusation.  If A and B apply, then you should automatically presume C applies as well.  If they were disturbed by the incidents at Ruby Ridge and Waco, then obviously they must celebrate Hitler’s birthday.  Officers are being conditioned to assume criminal and terroristic views when politically-incorrect views are observed.  As simple-minded and ridiculous as this line of thinking is, there are some officers who unfortunately buy into this.

Another training session I attended two years ago discussed the dangers of people who have strong views of the U.S. Constitution.  [Imagine, an American citizen honoring our founding document, the design of democracy…being labeled a terrorist.]

One trainer made the statement that “these people actually believe the Second Amendment gives them the personal right to own a gun.” Of course, the trainer failed to mention that our Founding Fathers, as well as recent Supreme Court rulings, verify this view as being completely accurate.  The obvious attempt here was to suggest to officers that the Second Amendment does not apply to individual gun ownership and to be suspicious of anyone who holds such a view.

It was also stressed to be cautious of anyone who quotes the Constitution and even worse, actually possesses a copy of this radical document.  Unbelievable, I know.  Incredibly, in the United States of America today belief in our founding legal principles is now grounds for being labeled a domestic terrorism.  Imagine how they would respond to some of the known statements of Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry, or George Mason concerning the issue of individual liberty and limited government.  It is true that one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter.

So, how to deal with it?  Continue here.

Make Democracy Work for You – Here’s How

We would like to thank our guest authors at Take Back America for sharing this with us today:
Being an engaged, active, and responsible citizen requires more than casting a ballot on voting day.  Our responsibility as citizens does not end when we exit the voting booth, rather that is the moment at which the true responsibility begins.
Whether or not the person for whom you voted actually gets into office should not deter you from making them work for the people. Remember, our tax dollars pay their salaries; therefore, regardless of whether or not the person sitting in office is the one for whom you voted he/she is still our employee.  As such, it is up to each of us to ensure that they are working for the people.

This requires some effort on our part.  This requires us to keep up on legislation on the floor and to write, call, or email our elected representatives on a regular basis.  We have far more disclosure in our government than many of us may realize. Every bill currently on the floor of our state and federal houses is available for our review.

State legislation is available for review on your state’s website.  Simply type in your state’s two letter abbreviation and state legislation (ex. pa state legislation) into your search engine and you can browse bills currently on the floor.   Federal legislation can be viewed at thomas.gov.

As much as I want to place all of the blame on the government for failing us and on the rich for bribing this country out from under us, We the People must take some of the blame upon ourselves.  For too long we have remained silent.  We have been complacent.  We have been lackadaisical bosses.
If we want our country back, if we want the political system to work in our favor then we must work for it.  We must make the ultimate sacrifice – our time and energy.  We must take responsibility.  We must take action.
The rich get the attention because they make the most noise:  they have lobbyist who make phone calls, write letters, and make meetings.  Yet, the rich make up only 2% of the population.  This means that there are over 294 million of us and only about 6 million of them.  Imagine the force We the People could be if all of us performed our duty as citizens; if we each wrote letters, made phones, or sent emails to our state and federal representatives every month.  The squeaky wheel gets the grease, so let’s be the squeaky wheel.
Time to make some noise!

Here are a few examples of sites where you can view state legislation:
PA     NJ     CA     WI
From each state site you can also find out who your representatives are and how to contact them by entering your zip code.
Then, there’s US Congress, both House and Senate.  From these sites you can find out who represents your district and how to contact them.
To actually view legislation currently debated or introduced in Congress, visit here.  It would be more effective to start here before contacting your reps so that you can have the name/number of the exact bill in front of you as you voice your support or opposition.
The political process will only work for the people if We the People are willing to put in the effort to make it do so.

Fluoride is a Drug & Austin, TX Fights Back

Introducing our 1st collaborative contributor, Granny Good-Food. You’re gonna love her. 😉

Austin is kickin’ it!  Fluoride-Free Austin is educating their elected officials about the dangers of industrial by-products being added to the water in the name of dental health.  Fluoride is a drug, and officials who consent to it are practicing medicine without a license.

Hydrofluosilicic acid (fluoride) is an “unstable, poisonous, corrosive acid” used in your drinking water and not batch tested for heavy metals.  Sure, it eats through concrete.  But don’t worry, it’s safe for you.  The self-regulating industry says so.

When we discuss whether or not fluoride is beneficial, or what level could be considered safe, we do err. It is not the prerogative of government to medicate its citizens. This is stepping out of the realm of a republic based on law and into the arms of a dictatorship that believes it controls its citizens’ life from birth to death.

As Congressman Ron Paul [R] said, “Freedom over one’s physical person is the most basic freedom of all, and people in a free society should be sovereign over their own bodies. When we give government the power to make medical decisions for us we, in essence, accept that the state owns our bodies.”

Chemicals like chlorine are added to treat the water. Fluoride is added to TREAT PEOPLE. This is wrong, unethical, and very dangerous. Once the precedent has been set, what is there that the government, in the guise of ‘health’ could not do? The possibilities are terrifying.

If you haven’t noticed, water treated with fluoride is everywhere.  Even with solid proof that it wears away teeth causing them to chip along with other more serious consequences like cancer, it is forced onto the public in every state.  Many do not even have a choice between having a well or using “city water,” & even some that do have the choice still have to pay the usual city fee even if a well is used but the property is part of the aqua grid.

Take Riverside County, CA for example:

Riverside County has Wyle Labs and all the perchlorates are in the water, too, along with very high natural levels.  I know.  I actually went with my friend to the Water Dept, and saw the electronic board that tracks levels; how they mix it with other water when it gets too high.  No studies have been done on the synergistic effects of multiple halogens [fluoride, chlorine (perCHLORates) ] in any municipal water.

There MUST be some secret blackmail that the fluoride industry uses against elected officials.  Or the payoff must be beyond belief.  I just don’t get it.  All the evidence to reasonable, intelligent adults shows how toxic it is.  To create a need for ongoing dental services?  Stupify the public?  Create a use from industrial waste?

We must find a weapon against this crime against humanity.  Elected officials are bonded; what if we filed charges against their bonds?  They would be un-electable.  Some smarty pants needs to figure out how to do this.

While we’re at it, why can’t the “practicing medicine without a license” be extended to everything that contains fluoride??

Full Audio Recording of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker Getting Revealing Prank Call

You may have heard the rumors, but have you heard the entire recorded phone call that Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker [R] took where he thought he was speaking to David Koch, mega-billionaire and Republican Party campaign contributor? Thanks to self-made journalist Ian Murphy of theBeast.com, you can now.

This audio has been authenticated from Governor Scott Walker’s office, and defended with, “It doesn’t say anything he hasn’t said in public.” Perhaps…but did he say these things before he was elected? Not a chance.

Furthermore, his own ethical standards are clearly distorted as you’ll note that he threatened to layoff state workers, remarking that he ‘bet that hanging over the Democrats head would get them back in session’. He also sought to trick the Democrats to enter the Capitol Building either to pick up their paychecks being held hostage in the Assembly Office or through “talks – not negotiations – but they all 14 have to be there.”

He even admits the motive was the legal loophole that would allow Republicans to proceed with the vote if the Democrats showed up, then got angry during discussion and left again. He stated that “once they’ve entered a session, should they take a recess, they don’t have to present after that to proceed.” Currently, Wisconsin law states that 20 State Congress Representatives must be present to vote on any issue concerning the budget.

As of yesterday, Walker pushed the vote through anyway without the Democrats being in session. The Democrats do plan to appeal, but while Governor Walker has claimed all along that this was a “budget repair bill,” he is now waivering to claim that it was a vote that didn’t involve “fiscal [budget] responsibility,” therefore the 19 present Republicans were sufficient.

Don’t you love it when a team changes the rules as they go along? Props to Republican Dale Schultz for batting a homerun by opposing his “refusing to budge” Republican Party.

Ahhh, I know. You came here for the audio. Here they are in 2 parts.

The Infamous FRIK n’ FRAK

Only Republican in Wisconsin to Vote for Unions

He was a lone wolf with the nerve to stand up against peer pressure from other Wisconsin state representatives in the Republican Party and vote against current Gov. Scott Walker’s proposal to undercut Wisconsin citizens’ rights for collective bargaining on behalf of public workers’ benefits, aka “the Union-Busting Bill.” [editor’s note: Click to read bill in full; Interestingly enough, a Yahoo search of “Scott Walker budget repair bill” led to this link, yet when clicked, it re-routed you back to Yahoo’s search page. Moving over to Google, with same search attempt, the link was present in full & works just fine.]

While Gov. Scott Walker has destroyed his own reputation via telephone calls where he pointedly drives it home that this is a “them” and “us” political agenda where he was willing to blackmail and trick Dems into relinquishing voting power, and then on media tours where he clearly “flip-flops” his own intentions in the same sentence as he claims on the tv show “Upfront with Mike Gousha” that he was not restricting the right for public workers to unionize with collective bargaining for their own pay, yet he “and other Republicans” believed there should be “a cap” on negotiations. As in a limit. That’s like saying you’re going to auction off something, but as seller you refuse the higher price and insist on the lower bidding buyer. Insane, I know…but he really expected you to believe that.

On the other hand, there is Dale W. Schultz, our lone wolf Republican. While Gov. Scott Walker was busy ruining his own street credit, Dale W. Schultz just gained a few credit points in many people’s eyes, including my own. He is a great example that all Republicans aren’t neo-con gold diggers, just like being Democrat in 2011 doesn’t make you a socialist. He proves during one of the most divisive political eras of our country’s history that yes, we really do all have more in common than differences. We’d like to see more of that here at The Infamous Frik n’ Frak.

The fact that with all eyes were on him during a time of extreme pressurized debate of civil rights and economic stability, and he chose to vote against his fellow Republicans (18-1), knowing full well that the measure would lose thanks to the vote proceeding in the absence of the Democrat representatives that are hiding out in boycott of the matter, made him an “underdawg” in their eyes…and a hero in ours.

It was only after a second glance at his public statements and record regarding other issues that I was fully convinced that he was sincere in his choice. You can look here for yourself.

If you happen to be in any of the other 49 states or territories of the U.S. wondering, “What on Earth does Wisconsin have to do with me?” let me just make this point very clear: What can happen to someone else at some point will happen to you if silent submission, ignorance, or indeference is your chosen path.

We all have that choice to make: to walk toward the Light, or to dangle in Darkness. Republican Dale W. Schultz chose the Light.

To hear the audio of Gov. Scott Walker’s phone call to whom he thought was David Koch, major Republican Party financer, go here.

Obama Says Bring Back the Arts for Superior Intelligence, Success, & World Relations

I’ll let Senator and Presidential candidate Barack Obama speak for himself:

To remain competitive in the global economy, America needs to reinvigorate the kind of creativity and innovation that has made this country great. To do so, we must nourish our children’s creative skills. In addition to giving our children the science and math skills they need to compete in the new global context, we should also encourage the ability to think creatively that comes from a meaningful arts education.

Unfortunately, many school districts are cutting instructional time for art and music education. Barack Obama and Joe Biden believe that the arts should be a central part of effective teaching and learning.

The Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts recently said “The purpose of arts education is not to produce more artists, though that is a byproduct. The real purpose of arts education is to create complete human beings capable of leading successful and productive lives in a free society.”
